Many of us have or will find ourselves settling our parent's or loved one's estate. Often our loved ones leave a big jewelry box filled with sentimental mementos to diamond rings. Many of these items look similar and the average person has little or no idea as to their relative worth. At MW RETZLAFF we offer no charge initial consultations to help you go through and sort the jewelry into costume or fine jewelry. Then depending upon your needs the items can be appraised if needed. Prices are always quoted before we begin and appointments can be made at times and places convenient for you. Mark Retzlaff is a Graduate Gemologist earned in Residency from the GIA, Gemological Institute of America and over 40 years of experience in the Northern California jewelry business. - Consultations- There is no charge to meet with you for an initial consultation. The jewelry, gemstones, precious metals and diamonds will be examined and a course of action will be recommended depending upon your needs.
- Complete Estate Jewelry Appraisals- Written Fair Market Value appraisal reports for estate settling and probates.
- Sales Consulting and Purchasing- We can consult and refer you to different options to sell unwanted gems, diamonds, and jewelry.
- Gem and Jewelry Identification and Relative Value Sorting Service- We sort through the costume and fine jewelry so you know which is which. This service is also free of charge at the initial meeting.
